What we think is actually happening
Access to a model is no longer an advantage. It is the new baseline.
The models are becoming a commodity. Your judgement is not.
The models are becoming a commodity. What is not a commodity is the judgement sitting in your organisation — why that quote came in forty thousand lower last March, which supplier always ships late in monsoon, why this customer is invoiced differently. That knowledge is usually in four heads and three spreadsheets, and nobody has written it down.
The design question is which decisions stay with a person.
AI is the first tool that can read the mess rather than demanding you replace it. What it still cannot do is know that a member’s fee is late because his father died in March. So the design question is never “can the model do this”. It is which decisions stay with a person, and how the system makes those decisions cheap to make well.
The review queue is the product.
That is why every system we build has a review queue, an audit trail and a visible confidence level. Not as a compliance feature. As the product.

Snilld works out of Panaji, Goa. Large consultancies sell you a pod and a methodology; the person who understood your problem in the pitch is rarely the one who builds it. Here there is no handoff, because there is nobody to hand off to. At the scale we work at, that is an advantage rather than an apology — the execution gap that kills most of these projects is a gap between the people who sold it and the people who build it, and that gap does not exist.
It also means we are honest about capacity. We take on a small number of engagements at a time, and if we cannot do yours properly we will say so.

When we do hire, it will be for people who want to see a system all the way from a client’s messy file to something running in production with a runbook. That means writing code, sitting with the person whose job the software changes, and caring about whether they actually use it. If that sounds like the job you want, write anyway — we keep notes.
